Re the city of Little Rock’s ultimatum that Occupy Little Rock protesters move their overnight camp from the Clinton Presidential Center Park to a dumpster- and portable toilet-equipped parking lot nearby at Fourth and Ferry, between I-30 and the Postoffice:
I got the following Facebook alert last night from Thomas “Human Microphone” Hudson, who’s been one of the OLR regulars:
Occupy Little Rock’s five hour general assembly meeting has adjourned, following a 92% vote in favor of moving to the location proposed by the city tomorrow.
Gabe Gentry provided video above of the discussion and vote.
I note that a movement leaderless by design can’t guarantee the actions of any, much less all, of its adherents, but the early signal seems to be that confrontation has been averted.
PS — City Manager Bruce Moore notes that Occupy Little Rock may protest at its spot in the Clinton Park until it closes each night at 10 p.m.
