KATV reports a man shot in the vicinity of the Kroger at 1100 E. Roosevelt and that the shooter fled, perhaps to a liquor store.
This would be just around the corner from the aging Union Rescue Mission on Confederate Boulevard, which Mayor Mark Stodola has said would be a dandy place to shunt veterans seeking medical, housing and other services.

UPDATE: Channel 7 now says no victim has been found and this may prove to be a bogus call. Further from Angela Rachels via Twitter:
LRPD: Kroger shooting call= prank. Call possibly made from a phone given away through a free phone program set up on the parking lot.
