A letter posted on the Downtown Neighborhood Association internet page:

My house is the closest residence to Occupy Little Rock. I live less than 200 feet from their camp. I feel that my opinion of Occupy Little Rock would be the most relevant. I have nothing bad to say about Occupy Little Rock. They are good neighbors. As everyone knows who has driven by the camp it is a mixture of different styles of tents and tarps. One thing I never see is litter or trash blowing around the camp. Last weekend they were picking up trash along I-30 that motorist had deposited. We must have the cleanest block along I-30. I have observed no alcohol, no disturbances, no profanity, no obscene behavior. The parking lot that they occupy has rarely been used by the City. Let them stay.

Maybe City Director Lance Hines could use an Occupy LR camp out in his part of town. It can get litter strewn.
