Sen. Jeremy Hutchinson, R-Little Rock, is being sued by political consultants in Louisiana for nearly $30,000 for work on his 2010 Senate campaign. Read the complaint for breach of contract here.

The Political Firm LLC says in the complaint that Hutchinson owed $28,470.68 and had agreed to pay a reduced debt of $20,000 in five installments, but only paid half of what was due the first installment. The firm is now seeking the full $28,470.68.

Hutchinson said his Little Rock consultants, Impact Management, was formerly partnered with TPF but the firm split and TPF purchased the accounts receivable. He has never met anyone with the Louisiana firm, he said. He added that his lawyer has contacted TPF and that if “they can show they have a legitimate claim” he believes he’ll be able to reach a settlement.
