In announcing that I’ll Have Another has been scratched from the Belmont Stakes — no triple crown winner this year — trainer Doug O’Neill said that the stallion “will be seeing a lot of mares and smoking a lot of cigarettes.” O’Neill was quoted in a Washington Post blog.


The Kentucky Derby and Preakness winner has tendinitis in his left front leg.
