Little Rock’s city clerk has completed validating the signatures on petitions for candidates for City Board and has reported the final result: Four city directors (3 at-large and the Ward 4 director) and five challengers will be on the ballot. Five others who filed for at-large positions did not have the 50 valid signatures required of candidates.

Dr. Lynette Bryant, who the clerk’s office Friday believed was one short, had 55 valid signatures on the office’s recount today, and will run against Position 8 Director Dr. Dean Kumpuris.

Lynn Hamilton, former Judge Willard Proctor and Glen Schwartz will run against Gene Fortson for the Position 9 seat on the board.

Robert Webb will run against Joan Adcock for Position 10. Ward 4 director Brad Cazort drew no opposition.

Coming up short were Adam Lansky, who’d filed as a candidate against Kumpuris (48 names), Anthony Hampton, who’d filed for Fortson’s seat (44 names), and Clayton Johnson (47), Kaitlin Lott (46) and Lloyd Young (47), who’d filed against Adcock.

City Clerk Susan Langley said some of the names on Bryant’s petition were barely legible, but she was able to finally determine they were valid.
