The line is open. A few items of note:

* RAZORBACK INJURY REPORT: From the UA Athletic Department:

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — The following statement regarding injuries is from University of Arkansas football head coach John L. Smith:

“Tevin Mitchel suffered an injury above the shoulders. He was kept in Little Rock last night and will probably stay again tonight. The testing that has been done on Tevin came back favorable for him to recover. He will continue to be monitored and will be doubtful for Saturday.

Tyler Wilson took a hit to the head and was kept in Little Rock last night for observation. His prognosis is good and he will be day-to-day.

Kody Walker suffered a lower leg injury and is likely out for the season. Kaelon Kelleybrew has a bruised arm and is probable for Saturday’s game.”

* INSULT ON INJURY: A Hillcrest resident reports unhappiness for getting ticketed by Little Rock police for parking a car in front of his home.

I’m wondering how many other Hillcrest residents received parking tickets last night for parking in front of their homes during the Razorback game. This is the first time in 13 years this has happened to us. In my opinion, this ordinance should not be enforced for residents parked in front of their homes

Anybody else have any experience with this? I presume this refers to enforcement of rules that ban parking on certain streets during War Memorial events. It was nearly universally ignored yesterday, judging by what I encountered as I tried to thread my way through the streets and traffic to reach the stadium late in the game to help a stranded motorist. Couldn’t get there. If they issued one ticket, they could have issued hundreds.

* ENDORSEMENT: Little Rock School Board member Dianne Curry, in a three-way race for election this year, said she’s received endorsements from the Little Rock and Arkansas Education Associations and the Central Arkansas Labor Council. She said they’ll be joined by others, including legislators and school board members, at a press event Monday. Frances Johnson and Tanya Dixon have also filed for the seat.

* POLICE SHOOTING: Channel 4 has a report on a fatal shooting yesterday by an Alexander police officer, said to be an accident.
