Channel 4 reports on the suspension of Superintendent Max Adcock by the Mineral Springs Saratoga School Board for misrepresentations that allowed the Saratoga High School in Howard County to stay open despite not offering the required 38 courses. The state Department of Education found the problem.

What was happening is that students at Saratoga were being bused in the morning to Mineral Springs High School, where they stay for classes, then in the afternoon the students come back to Saratoga and take history and computer classes plus athletics.

However, in order to operate as a state school you have to teach all 38 units at one school.

The districts merged in 2005 as part of the consolidation of tiny Arkansas school districts.
