Joann Coleman, who isn’t letting UAMS and St. Vincent off the hook over their redactions in a Deloitte Consulting report on the business benefits of affiliation, continues to hound the UA system asking for the release of information. Like the Times, Coleman has so far had no luck.
Her latest point raised: Some of the redacted information is available online. She’s right. Take page 9 of the Deloitte report. Oddly, redacted information included St. Vincent’s mission, which can be found on its webpage.
The mission of St. Vincent Health System and Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) is to nurture the healing ministry of the Church by bringing it new life, energy and viability in the 21st Century. Fidelity to the Gospel urges us to emphasize human dignity and social justice as we move toward the creation of healthier communities.
Acute Care Facilities: Another oddity: St. Vincent apparently redacted its own name, along with St. Vincent North.
FY12 Net Revenue: I’ve asked St. Vincent for this information. It provided such information for fiscal year 2011 in articles in Arkansas Business and elsewhere: Medical center revenues were $931 million in FY 2011. Also, net income was provided: $7.7 million. Also, St. Vincent released information that it had $1.1 billion in total patient revenue in fiscal year 2011.
FY12 EBIDA: (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization): Also reported in 2012 for 2011 as $21.8 million.
FTE (full time employees): 3,000 employees, hours equivalent to 2,300 full-time jobs in 2012, depending on how you look at it.
Just a start.
