Jeff Woodmansee, a faculty member at the UALR Bowen School of Law and an ardent politico with a blog, the Woodmansee Project, rounds up some election scuttlebutt on the Democratic side of the ledger today, chiefly this:
He says that Rep. Nate Steel of Nashville is expected to announce his Democratic bid for attorney general this week, most likely Wednesday. We’ve mentioned his potential candidacy before. New is his report that Zac White of Heber Springs, who lost a state Senate challenge of Missy Irvin last year (too bad, that), may decide this week whether to enter the Democratic primary, too. A couple of Republicans have already announced.
Woodmansee runs through a number of other potential candidacies as well, particularly for congressional seats.
