As predicted, the Senate voted send a stopgap spending measure that would keep the federal government open to the House without language that would gut Obamacare. The Senate voted along party lines, 54-44. That vote followed a cloture vote to block debate that pitched Republican extremists against everyone else. It passed 79 to 19, by a broader margin than some expected. Continuing debate was a bridge too far “Dr. No.” Sen. John Boozman voted for cloture, but, of course, against the ultimate measure.
