The pit bull is overdue for some good press. Here’s some from KATV’s Katherina Yancey, who reports on what happened when Millie Fiser was jumped by a robber while picking up trash outside her home near the Governor’s Mansion.
She called for help from her 11-year-old pitbull Champ. Fiser said she’d never known Champ to be aggressive. But he answered this call. He got over a picket fence and ran the robber off, then lay down beside Fiser and kept her warm until help arrived. She told KATV:
“Champ saved my life. I know that he would literally die for me. This is a real good example that he will always be right there for me always, always.”
