* NO, A MINIMUM WAGE INCREASE WON’T HURT THE ECONOMY: Facts don’t count in this debate — or any other with teabaggers — but Huffington Post has assembled a batch of charts to support a statement by a big group of economists that a minimum wage increase would not be harmful to the economy. Jobs grew in the 10 states that increased the wage last year, for example, and economic performance in states with higher minimum wages shows no harm relative to the others.

* ASU FOOTBALL PLAYER SLAIN IN TENNESSEE: Markel Owens, an Arkansas State University football player, and his stepfather were killed Wednesday night in a home invasion robbery in his hometown of Jackson, Tenn. Owens’ mother also was shot.
