What;s up. Not much here. A few words:
* PRYOR GOES AFTER TOM COTTON ON THE FARM BILL U.S. Sen. Mark Pryor brought three Arkansas farmers with him to the Capitol today to decry Republican Rep. Tom Cotton’s solo Arkansas vote against the farm bill.
Pryor explained that the farm bill illustrates the stark contrast between him and his opponent, Cotton, when it comes to listening to Arkansans and supporting the state’s most important industry.
“You have to find common ground, and you have to do right by the people that you represent,” said Sen. Mark Pryor. “My opponent, however, does not share that view. His is a my-way-or-the-highway approach. He was the only member of the Arkansas delegation to vote against this bill. In fact, he was the only member of the House from the mid-south to vote against it. And that is something that is very telling,”
Yup. And scary.
* CONGRESSIONAL RUMBLING: I heard word of an attractive Democrat taking a serious look at a race against U.S. Rep. Rick Crawford, the 1st District Republican. Not ready to declare yet. Has political experience.
* THE WEATHER OUTLOOK IS MESSY: Here’s the mid-afternoon forecast from the National Weather Service. Little Rock appears to fall in uncertain territory. But maybe up to two inches of snow Sunday night. And freezing rain potential Monday night and Tuesday morning.
