Here’s an early morning reading on today’s potential snow from Shara Brazear, spokesman for the North Little Rock School District:
The National Weather Service contacted [Superintendent] Mr. Rodgers at 3:45 this morning. The NWS is calling for light snow beginning at 1:00 pm today with the possibility of 2-3 inches starting later in the day. All buses and campuses will begin at our regular scheduled times.
We will notify the media that we are watching the weather closely today. Parents are on notice that we could dismiss early if the weather conditions change.
The Little Rock School District sent a similar message:
We wanted to alert you that due to the strong possibility of inclement weather this afternoon, LRSD may have to dismiss classes early. Currently, there is a prediction of light precipitation, however, our administration and transportation team will continue to monitor developments, and if the conditions warrant, we will contact you as soon as possible about early dismissal. Thank you for your understanding as we work together to ensure the safety of all of our students and staff. We will contact you by ParentLink and post messages to our Facebook and Twitter Accounts, should that become necessary.
