Here’s what the National Weather Service said this morning about the disappearing snow forecast for Central Arkansas last night:

AREA FORECAST DISCUSSION…UPDATED
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE LITTLE ROCK AR
612 AM CST TUE FEB 11 2014

.UPDATE…

HAVE UPDATED FORECAST TO REMOVE EXISTING WINTER WX ADV AS THE MUCH DRIER AIR CONTINUE TO ERODE THE REMAINING PRECIP.

HOWEVER…ANOTHER ROUND OF WINTRY PRECIP COULD BE SEEN LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE OVERNIGHT HRS. GIVEN THE VERY DRY AIR CONTINUES TO DROP SOUTH…WILL HOLD OFF ON ISSUING A NEW ADV FOR NOW UNTIL THE EXTENT OF THE AVAILABLE MOISTURE ACROSS THE SRN COUNTIES BECOMES MORE CLEAR.
