Cedric Pennington, 44, was shot to death shortly after midnight last night outside apartments at 8621 Baseline Road.
Pennington was found lying on the ground outside the driver’s side of his vehicle. A witness who’d been standing on a porch nearby said she’d gone back inside her home after seeing two men, one with a gun, walk up to the rear of Pennington’s vehicle. One of the men said something to Pennington. After going inside, she heard a gunshot. She looked outside and saw the two men running away.
