Gov. Mike Beebe joined officials of Peco Foods today to announce a $165 million chicken processing venture in Randolph and Clay Counties, a project that is said to hold the potential of 1,000 jobs.
The Alabama-based company plans a feed mill in Corning and hatcher and processing plant near Pocahontas. It already has a processing plant in Batesville and feed mill in Newark. Some $4.5 million in state and local incentives have been promised to the company.
