The city of Little Rock has announced the schedule for public meetings with the three finalists for Little Rock police chief to succeed the retiring Stuart Thomas. City Manager Bruce Moore will choose the next chief.
Each reception will take place from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the city community center at 6401 W. 12th Street. Each will include a chance for informal meetings, a presentation by the candidate and a Q&A. The schedule:

* May 8 – Eric Higgins, Assistant Little Rock police chief.
* May 12 — Kenton Buckner, assistant chief of the Louisville (Ky.) Metro Police Department.
