Have questions for Mara Leveritt or Jason Baldwin?
Now’s your chance.
The William F. Laman Public Library in North Little Rock will host a discussion with Leveritt and Baldwin via Skype at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the library. Those who attend the event can ask questions of both Baldwin and Leveritt and get signed copies of Leveritt’s book, “Dark Spell, Surviving the Sentence,” about Baldwin. Its the second of three planned books on the case.
Baldwin was the youngest of three teens convicted in the slayings of three West Memphis children. Reporting by Leveritt and others and years of activism by dedicated followers eventually led to the release of Baldwin and co-defendants in a plea deal. Baldwin will be discussing the case with an in-state audience for the first time. The book talks of Baldwin’s life and time in prison.
