U.S. Rep. Tom Cotton has announced an around-the-state “road to victory” tour of campaign events in the next week that will include appearances with U.S. Sen. Rob Portman and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

Media are advised they must RSVP. (That should be interesting for some in media from whom press aide Caroline Rabbitt won’t take calls.)

I’m pleased to see Portman on the card. He’ll be joining Cotton for a Hog game watch party. Portman is mentioned sometimes as a GOP presidential candidate, though his party stock took a tumble after he announced his support for gay marriage. Cotton, like other Arkansas Republican politicians, has nothing good to say about gay marriage. Maybe Portman can work on him during Hog timeouts.
