Sedrick Reed, 44, a former State Police lieutenant, was sentenced to 135 months in prison in federal court today for conspiring to possess and distribute cocaine. Reed took drugs from the State Police property room and from drugs seized in a traffic stop.

Reed was indicted in August 2013 and pleaded guilty last July in a negotiated deal that dismissed some charges.

He admitted in court today, according to the U.S. attorney’s office, that he had participated in a conspiracy to distribute between 5 and 15 kilograms (11 to 33 pounds) of cocaine between 2006 and 2013. He also admitted to possessing a firearm during the conspiracy. He admitted to $200,000 in profits from resale of stolen drugs.
