A Senate committee today approved a bill by Sen. Bart Hester that would allow someone to run for president and for another federal office in the same election.

In other words, in 2020, Sen. Tom Cotton could run for both re-election and president. Hester is quoted by Stephens Media as saying he’d like to see that.
