No blast e-mail yet, but the Hillary Clinton announcement for presidency should be along soon.

A campaign memo was leaked yesterday about the key talking points.

“We are Hillary for America,” declares the document, first reported by Politico and later obtained by The New York Times.

“Our purpose: To give every family, every small business, and every American a path to lasting prosperity by electing Hillary Clinton the next President of the United States.”

In a sentence freighted with significance, the memo continues: “This campaign is not about Hillary Clinton and not about us — it’s about the everyday Americans who are trying to build a better life for themselves and their families.”

Is America ready to listen?

Polling results show Clinton losing ground in swing states to the entire Republican field. Rand Paul’s rise — with such things as his appeal to younger voters with a libertarian view on marijuana — is notable. He has small leads over her in Colorado and Iowa.

UPDATE: At mid-afternoon, after a blast from various Republicans on the morning gasbag shows, Clinton made her announcement by Twitter and other vehicles. She’s off to Iowa.
