Police say that troubled boxer Jermain Taylor was allegedly involved in an incident at a Pulaski County rehab facility in which a resident was struck and knocked to the floor.

A Pulaski County Sheriff’s office report says the incident happened yesterday at around 7 p.m. at Oasis Renewal Center on Cooper Orbit Road in far west Pulaski County. The director of the facility called police, reportedly telling deputies that Taylor was suspected to have struck another resident. No one saw the incident, KARK reports, but witnesses told police the injured resident was found on the floor, with Taylor standing nearby. A witness told deputies that he heard Taylor telling the man not to bother him. The victim in the case was taken to the emergency room, and no arrests were made.

Taylor was arrested last August in the shooting of his cousin, and was stripped of the IBF Middleweight World Title belt in February after being arrested in January for an incident in which, police say, he fired a gun and threatened a family at Little Rock’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade. He later posted a rambling video apology, filmed as Taylor sat in his bathtub, to Youtube.  Following the incident at the MLK parade, a Pulaski County judge ordered Taylor sent for a mental evaluation. He was released to a private rehabilitation center in March.
