Fox 16 has the story of Eric Wilson
, a legally blind man who was manhandled by two officers with the Little Rock Police Department as he walked home from work on 65th St in the middle of the afternoon.

The dashboard camera footage from the police vehicle, obtained by the news station, shows Wilson attempting to comply with the officers’ commands to approach them and remove his hands from his pockets. They then wrestle him to the pavement.

Wilson went to the hospital that evening for back pain and was told he had a strained lumbar. He’s filed a complaint with LRPD

The cops say they were responding to a call and mistook him for a suspect. Wilson, by the way, is black. One of the two officers in the video is also black; the other is white.

From Fox 16’s story:

In a police report, an officer said Wilson “pulled away violently causing me to lose grip,” and that he was “afraid that Wilson would strike myself or my partner with the handcuff.”

But Wilson and his lawyer Reggie Koch say that’s not what the video shows.

The officers also said they saw a black handle hanging out of Wilson’s pocket, but that turned out to be a clock that reads Wilson the time.
