The Alabama Supreme Court has apparently attempted to stop probate judges from issuing marriage licenses to same-sex couples in Alabama for 25 days, a period when a request for a rehearing of the U.S. Supreme Court ruling Friday is still possible.

It’s obstructionism, pure and simple. One wonders what the Arkansas Supreme Court might do if one of the Arkansas obstructionists gives that court an opportunity to stand in the way of equality.
