Little Rock police are responding to a report of a homicide at 1217 S. Jackson Street, a spokesman said. Subsequent reports said an occupant of the home, a man in his 60s, was found fatally shot and the home had been ransacked.

UPDATE: The police report said officers went to the house at 9 a.m. at the request of a security company because an employee, Fred W. Pohnka Jr., 68, had not reported for his job at Regions Bank. Officers found Pohnka lying in a pool of blood in the kitchen. They said the house had been ransacked. No suspects identified at this time.
