The Conway Chamber of Commerce announces rapid job growth by Metova, a technology company that develops apps and other services.

Metova, which opened in January in downtown Conway, said it hoped to fill 100 new jobs to meet mobile, web and other needs.

Metova had originally hoped to create 60 jobs, but a news release said growth now prompts it to seek 100 additional workers with skills in Ruby on Rails, Java web and mobile app development and UX and UI designers.

The news release quotes Gov. Asa Hutchinson as linking the expansion to his initiative to expand computer coding instructions Arkansas schools.

Metova also announced the hiring of Ed Horton, former chief marketing officer for Acxiom, to develop business.
