Gawker is reporting
one Arkansan among the 32 million would-be-cheaters revealed by hackers as subscribers to the Ashley Madison website for people looking to have affairs is none other than Josh Duggar. First, we learn he molested his sisters and a babysitter when he was a teenager. Now the data dump suggests a grown-up and married Josh was looking for a little something on the side for the past couple of years.

Someone using a credit card belonging to a Joshua J. Duggar, with a billing address that matches the home in Fayetteville, Arkansas owned by his grandmother Mary — a home that was consistently shown on their now-cancelled TV show, and in which Anna Duggar gave birth to her first child — paid a total of $986.76 for two different monthly Ashley Madison subscriptions from February of 2013 until May of 2015.

The data revealed by the hackers indicates that this Joshua J. Duggar was looking for a partner fitting such descriptions as “Muscular/Fit Body,” “Petite Figure,” “Disease Free,” “Drug Free” and “Natural Breasts” to enjoy “Conventional Sex,” Experimenting with Sex Toys,” One-Night Stands,” etc., and who would be someone who “Likes to Give Oral Sex,” “Likes to Receive Oral Sex,” “Someone I Can Teach,” and “Sharing Fantasies.” Should this Joshua J. Duggar be our own Josh Duggar, he would have a lot to share in that latter category, having lived a fantasy his entire life with the rest of the Duggar clan.

The data also suggests that Duggar started a second account linked to his home in Oxon Hill, Md., where, as head of the Family Research Council he was spouting off about the outrage against decency that is same-sex marriage. The Duggar on that account, the data says, paid an extra $250 to buy an “guarantee” that would refund his money if he did not have an affair within three months.

What the data does not show is whether Duggar scored. Gawker has asked for comment from the TLC channel, the Family Research Council and a spokesman for the Duggar family.

Postscript:

Benji Hardy made an excellent point in the newsroom after this post went up: Do we condone data dumps of otherwise private information by passing along the information? Do we suggest in doing so that we have some greater moral authority?  I think we all agree that by holding himself up as a Godly man who talks of the abomination of homosexuality and, yes, child molestation, that Duggar is fair game … but is the data dump fair?  Help us out of the moral thicket here, Blog fans.
