A careful reader notes an editing difference between an AP story in one paper and the version that appeared in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette.

From the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette:
See the difference?
Four little words — “what some say is”
They will still be denying when Benton is a beach.
Snark aside: I’m no scientist, but I’m of the mind that it’s warmer these days. Ask the polar bears. Or ask the people who put men on the moon — NASA, whose article on the topic includes this pull quote:
Scientific evidence for warming of the climate system is unequivocal.
– Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change
Now there’s more dispute on whether this uptick in temperature is merely cyclical or, worse, man caused, though the weight of the scientific community seems to fall on the side of a human contribution. Says NASA
The current warming trend is of particular significance because most of it is very likely human-induced and proceeding at a rate that is unprecedented in the past 1,300 years.
Anyway, I think a few more than “some” — at least among scientists — are saying it’s warmer globally these days..
The NASA chart on carbon dioxide might make a believer out of “some.”
OK. Yes. These are government numbers.
Just some sport for a slow Saturday. Talk among yourselves.
