There are other ways to approach Interstate 30 through downtown Little Rock than the Arkansas highway department’s idea to widen it to 10 lanes and thus create demand to widen feeder roads as well after all that concrete gets poured.

Instead of a freeway through the heart of the city, they propose an at-grade boulevard, with traffic lights. Major traffic would move on existing ring roads. Fascinating stuff. Downtown amenities would be many.
