Gov. Asa Hutchinson endorsed Sen. Marco Rubio for president today. Rubio made a campaign stop in Little Rock yesterday. Hutchinson’s brother, former U.S. Sen. Tim Hutchinson, Congressmen Rick Crawford and Steve Womack, Treasurer Andrea Lea and Lt. Gov. Tim Griffin have also endorsed Rubio, along with 29 state lawmakers.

At Politico’s State Solutions Conference in Washington on Friday, Hutchinson had refused to say whether he would endorse someone, but did say that he’d heard from a number of mainstream Republicans in Arkansas who wanted his guidance on the presidential primary.

Early voting is ongoing. Election day is March 1.
