Retired Circuit Judge John Langston will preside over the trial of Garland County Circuit Judge Wade Naramore, charged with negligent homicide in the hot-car death of his toddler son, the AP reports. Narramore faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
Last week, the Arkansas Supreme Court granted a temporary suspension of Naramore with pay. The Judicial Discipline and Disability Commission voted to recommend the suspension earlier in the week.
Langston was assigned by the chief justice of the Arkansas Supreme Court.
