Circuit Judge Wade Naramore entered a not-guilty plea this morning in Circuit Court in Hot Springs to a misdemeanor negligent homicide charge in the 2015 death of 18-month-old son, Thomas, who was left in his father’s car for several hours on a hot day.
Naramore’s wife and numerous friends attended the hearing in support of him. He waived a hearing before entering the plea. Retired Judge John Langston was appointed by the Supreme Court to hear the case. A trial date was set June 14.
Naramore has been suspended with pay from the bench while the matter proceeds. He has said in a statement through attorneys that the death was an accident and that he is committed to working to prevent this for others, but that no crime was committed.
