PS: Verizon Arena posted on Facebook the photo below by MJ Kim of McCartney meeting with Thelma Mothershed-Wair (left) and Elizabeth Eckford, two members of the Little Rock Nine. When he performed “Blackbird,” he said its writing was inspired by what he’d read of the civil rights era and the Little Rock desegregation crisis. David Bazzel explains the meeting was engineered by Gov. Asa Hutchinson’s son-in-law.
