Arkansas’s unemployment rate continues to fall to 3.9 percent in April against a revised 4.1 percent in March. The workforce increased by 2,860 people.

Our rate compares against a national rate of 5 percent. Both the size of the workforce in Arkansas, 1.3 million,  and the unemployment rate are records. The biggest job growth in individual sectors came in retail and restaurant jobs.
