Court filings indicate Conway police are investigating additional complaints against Dr. Robert Rook, a family practice physician charged with raping two female patients.
On June 20, KARK first reported, police sought a search warrant to see medical records of 18 patients (identified only by initials.) These apparently include the three patients mentioned in original charges. (Charges were not filed in one case.)
In an affidavit, Conway detective Melissa Smith said since June 3, “fifteen additional allegations have been reported to the Conway Police Department alleging sexual assaults by Dr. Rook over a span of years since he has been in practice. These women made allegations that are consistent with the previous charges. Their medical records are need to document the actions taken by the doctor and that were recorded or not recorded by him in the records.”
No additional charges have been filed since the warrant was served. A return of the warrant indicates records were picked up for nine patients.
This is the affidavit on which the original charges were filed.
The state Medical Board has suspended Rook’s license pending a full hearing.
