The slow progress of restoring power service has prompted the city to open two “cooling centers.”

The Dunbar and Southwest community centers will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday to provide respite from hot homes.

The city urged residents to call 311 with reports of downed trees or power lines or other debris.
