Shocking. The conservative U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals agrees that the Texas Voter ID law has the EFFECT of discriminating against minority voters.

It ordered changes in time for the November election.

The court sent back for more arguments the question of whether this was the INTENT of the  law. Of course it was. Republicans across the country have admitted as much in implementing cookie cutter obstacles to voting across the country. Back when the Arkansas Supreme Court still respected the Arkansas Constitution, it struck down the Arkansas Voter ID law. I wouldn’t bet on the court these days, particularly when former Republican Sen. Shawn Womack takes his seat alongside the others who are kowtowing to the legislature.
