A news release announces that Maj. Carl Minden will be a Democratic candidate next year to succeed Doc Holladay as Pulaski County sheriff. Holladay has said he doesn’t plan to seek re-election.
Said Minden in the release:
“I want to continue to build on the successes of Sheriff Doc Holladay and Sheriff Randy Johnson. I will seek out, and implement, innovative ideas to address the continuing problem of overcrowding at the County Detention Facility. If elected I will place significant attention on improving employee retention and training. Another focus will be on continuing to build a professional and integrity-based work force centered on addressing the problems facing our community. I also know the value of working with the other professional law enforcement agencies throughout Pulaski County and hope to build an even stronger coalition to protect our citizens.”
Minden is commander of criminal investigations, administrative services and media relations. He’s been with the sheriff’s office for 18 years.
