Sen. Tom Cotton is again standing up for the Trump administration in questioning today of Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
He suggests it’s worthy of a movie plot to suggest Sessions “colluded” at a public meeting with a Russian official on the election. But nobody has suggested that. They HAVE suggested Sessions didn’t disclose meetings with Russians. And why would Cotton be saying Sessions should be asked about collusion with Russians when he, supposedly, has recused from the Russian investigation.
Tom Cotton even asked Sessions if Trump influenced Russia hacking. Asked and answered. Of course he did, in encouraging the Wikileaks.
Sessions repeatedly thanked Cotton for his leading questions.
Conservative media loved it. See headline posted on YouTube above.
From the other side, reviews weren’t so kind.
Some day, a historian is going to look at Tom Cotton’s questioning time and think, “Jesus, what an ass-kisser.”
