WMCA in Memphis, via KAIT in Jonesboro, reports on a Bull Shoals man’s purchase at auction of the contents of a storage locker apparently abandoned by Lorri Davis, wife of Damien Echols of the West Memphis Three.
Rob Horn found boxes of books that had belonged to Echols, photographs and what appear to be journals Echols kept while on Death Row.
As yet, no indication that the journals, though they reflect on life in prison, contain anything relevant to the murder case in which Echols and two others were wrongly convicted.
Echols and Davis married while he was in prison in 1999. They didn’t hesitate to put Arkansas in a rear view mirror after he was released from prison in 2011.
Horn hopes to make some money off his purchase. He says efforts to reach the couple through social media have been unsuccessful.
