Overnight the U.S. Senate defeated the so-called skinny repeal of the Affordable Care Act.

The 48 Democrats were joined by three Republicabs — Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski and John McCain — to defeat a bill that would have deprived millions of health coverage and, the CBO study said, brought years of 20 percent insurance rate increases.

High drama in McCain’s surprise and decisive vote. Why, he was asked?

“It was the right thing to do.”

Sens. John Boozman and Tom Cotton did the wrong thing again.

The words are not understood by the current leadership.
