The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports that attendance of 36,055 at last night’s Arkansas Razorback football game was the second lowest for the Hogs at the stadium since the university joined the SEC in 1992. The lowest, according to the D-G, was 22,329 against LSU. Not surprising of course: It was a cloudy Thursday night and Florida A&M, despite having a killer mascot, hardly struck fear in any Hog fans. The Razorbacks won 49-7.
Athletic Director Jeff Long told the D-G that the university plans to honor its contract with War Memorial to continue to play one game a season at the stadium through next year. There had been some speculation the university would try to buy its way out of the contract.
