State Fair opens today; here’s a preview of midway food

Kat Robinson was on hand for the annual preview of what’s new in the Arkansas State Fair midway deep-fat fryers this year and has the full rundown on the Fair food lineup, with pictures, on her Tie Dye Travels website.

Pizza with worms? I think I’ll pass. Bacon-wrapped corn? More like it. Thanksgiving tacos — turkey, dressing and cranberry sauce rolled up in a tortilla? You tell me. Hot cinnamon rolls a la mode? Definite maybe.

The State Fair opens at 4 p.m. today, a day earlier than in the past.  It runs through Oct. 22.
