The D-G reports that CNN has renewed the contract of political commentator Alice Stewart, a former KARK television news anchor and Mike Huckabee staffer.
Stewart was first hired by CNN in the summer of 2016, after flack stints for Mike Huckabee’s failed presidential campaign, followed by Sen. Ted Cruz’s failed campaign. In 2012, she worked for a couple of other failed GOP presidential contenders, Michele Bachmann and Rick Santorum. Previously she served as a staffer for then-Governor Huckabee and Secretary of State Mark Martin. She also had a right-leaning radio talk show on 96.5 The Voice for several years.
She told the D-G that her CNN gig in D.C. is “going great” and she enjoys seeing Sarah Huckabee Sanders and other Arkansans on the White House and the Hill.
