KUAR reports that Ted Bentley, husband of state Rep. Mary Bentley of Perryville, was arrested last Sunday for allegedly violating an order or protection. The Petit Jean Country Headline reports that Bentley got the order protection against him in early December and has filed for divorce.
Here’s more from KUAR:
The Perry County Sheriff’s office arrived at the Bentley home at 10 p.m. Saturday night. Mrs. Bentley had called to report her husband banging on the door. He was back the next morning at 6 a.m. Officers caught up with him at 10 a.m. Sunday at a gas station near Williams Junction.
Back in 2015 Ted Bentley had a run in with a different law enforcement agency involving hunting practices in the Ouachita National Forest. At the time, Rep. Bentley suggested to Game and Fish officers that its budget could be threatened as a result of interfering with her husband.
Here’s coverage of the Game and Fish incident on the Arkansas Blog, which broke the story.
