Around midnight, Little Rock Police Department officers responded to a call at UAMS, where they found an 18-year-old man, who, according to an LRPD spokesman, “told officers that he was walking through a vacant lot in the area of 41st and Potter when he heard gunshots and realized that he had been shot in the leg.” Police said there’s no suspect in the shooting.
Police returned to UAMS around 2 a.m., where they interviewed a 38-year-old man who was shot in the lower leg. He told officers that he heard several shots in the area of 1700 Johnson Street and realized he’d been shot. Police said warrants could be forthcoming in the near future.
Around 4:40 a.m., an officer in the area of 36th and Barrow streets, heard shots and discovered a 27-year-old man leaning against a mailbox on Leghigh Court calling for help. At 8:38 a.m. this morning, offers, responding to a shots-fired call, discovered a 55-year-old man who had been shot multiple times. His injuries were considered life-threatening. Police said callers indicated a man wearing a black hoodie and blue jeans running from the scene, but have not released other information.
