Here’s an issue of discussion for the Little Rock mayor’s race and those for city board seats: Low growth in tax revenue.

According to a report to the Little Rock City Board, sales tax revenue for the first six months of 2018 fell $1.2 million below the anticipated budget and showed virtually no growth over the same period a year ago. The dip prompted a budget revision in August.  State turnback also appears to be lagging behind expectations.  What doesn’t come in can’t go out.
